Kenny Alameda

Co-Founder, Clipper Capital Group

President, Clipper Oil

Kenny Alameda is the President of Clipper Oil, a global wholesaler and supplier of marine fuels and lubricant oil. Since Clipper Oil's founding in 1985, he has seen the business expand into new markets with a diverse set of clientele. Mr. Alameda now oversees long term strategic planning and business opportunities.

Mr. Alameda has also spent time as the Vice President of Procurement and Vessel Operations for Bumble Bee Seafoods from 1978-1981 and as President of Cape​ Fisheries in 2001. Since turning over the day to day operations of Clipper Oil to his son Kevin in 2006, Mr. Alameda has expanded his passion for owning real estate across the Western U.S. and sets the strategic heading for Clipper Capital Group.

​Mr. Alameda entered real estate in 1986 after building his first multifamily complex in La Mesa, CA. That same year, he completed a senior housing project in Oceanside, CA, which was later sold to the City of Oceanside. Since then, he has transitioned from an LP Investor to directly acquiring units, amassing a portfolio of over 2,100 multifamily units in AZ, IA, NE, and NM.

​

He received a Presidential Appointment from President Obama and served as the United States Commissioner for the Conservation and Management of Migratory Fish Stocks in the Western and Central Pacific Oceans.

 

Mr. Alameda received a B.S. in Marketing from San Diego State University and is an avid sports fan. He also enjoys yellowtail tuna fishing, golfing, and hunting.

Blair Pruett

Co-Founder, Clipper Capital Group

​

Blair Pruett has over 20 years of experience in the acquisition, management, and disposition of investment grade real estate spanning all asset classes. Beginning in 2010, Mr. Pruett has participated in the acquisition of each property in the portfolio. In addition to direct ownership, Mr. Pruett has previously participated as an LP in various syndications featuring units in AZ, CO, NM, OR, and UT. 

​

Mr. Pruett's real estate career began in the late 90’s working for various merchant homebuilders 

throughout southern CA where he quickly rose through the divisional ranks. Using the GFC as an opportunity, he founded Northstar Pacific Partners in 2008 to assist banks and institutional capital providers manage their distressed real estate with engagements in northern CA, NV, CO and AZ.

​​

His previous exposure provided an excellent conduit to acquire new opportunities that culminated in the sale of a number of entitled assets to regional public and private homebuilders. 

​

Throughout his career, Mr. Pruett has also served as an expert witness given his vast experience in real estate finance, entitlement, development and construction. Mr. Pruett received a B.A. in Economics from the University of Southern California and is a licensed real estate broker in CA.

 

Blair, his wife Kristen, and two daughters reside on a property that he entitled and developed in coastal north San Diego County. His free time is occupied with jiu-jitsu, paddleboarding, and camping.

Lori Green oversees Office Management and Accounting at Clipper Capital Group where she also ensures daily administrative operations run smoothly.

​

Lori has spent the past three years contributing to the successful and timely completion of real estate transactions and entity management.

​

Prior to joining Clipper Capital Group, Lori spent several years serving as an Office Manager, Executive Assistant and Accounting Manager in the Information Technology industry in San Diego.

​

Lori holds a B.S. in Interior Design from Colorado State University as well as a Professional Certificate in Accounting Management from San Diego State University.

Nick Scheel leads the day-to-day asset management of Clipper Capital’s portfolio and supports the firm’s acquisition and disposition efforts. He works closely with ownership, onsite teams, brokers, and operating partners to drive performance and execute business plans across the portfolio.

​

Prior to joining Clipper Capital, Mr. Scheel worked in the energy industry, where he advised commercial and industrial clients on supply- and demand-side energy management strategies. He quickly advanced in his role by combining technical analysis, client service, and practical problem-solving.

​

Mr. Scheel also brings more than ten years of leadership experience in public safety. His background includes serving as an Ocean Lifeguard with the City of San Clemente, in both field and management capacities, as well as working as a Ski Patroller at Keystone Ski Resort and EMT for Santa Barbara County Fire Dept. Throughout his public safety career, he earned multiple honors, including Lifeguard of the Year and Rookie of the Year in both lifeguarding and ski patrol, reflecting his ability to work under pressure, contribute to and lead high-performing teams, and maintain a high standard of excellence.

​

Mr. Scheel received a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science from the University of California, Santa Barbara, with significant coursework in engineering and technical writing. He has also maintained his Emergency Medical Technician certification since 2017.

​

Outside of work, Mr. Scheel enjoys spending time outdoors, including fishing, surfing, diving, camping, skiing, and snowboarding. He is always looking for opportunities to learn something new, challenge himself, and solve practical problems.

Jelanie Brookins supports the day-to-day management of the portfolio, pairing strong analytical skills with a real understanding of how value gets created.

 

Prior to joining Clipper Capital, Ms. Brookins interned at commercial real estate companies with a focus in multifamily acquisitions and development, gaining hands-on exposure to underwriting, deal evaluation, and the asset lifecycle from acquisition through development.

 

Ms. Brookins received a Bachelor of Business Administration in Real Estate and Finance from the University of San Diego, where she served on the board of the USD Real Estate Society and led her team to win the 2026 NAIOP University Challenge.

 

In her free time, Ms. Brookins enjoys golfing, working out, traveling, and spending time outdoors.
